Two popular treatments for improving men’s health, especially sexual health, the P-Shot and Radial Shockwave Therapy are available at Phoenix Men’s Health Center. We often get asked about which one is better. The short answer is that both therapies are different in nature, and no one is better than other in terms of their benefit. In this blog, we will compare these two treatments to help men make an informed decision about which treatment may be best for their sexual health.

What is the P-Shot?

The P-Shot, also known as the Priapus Shot, is a non-surgical treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to stimulate tissue growth and improve blood flow to the penis. The treatment involves drawing the patient’s blood and then isolating the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then injected into specific areas of the penis, which can help increase blood flow and stimulate the growth of new tissue. 1,2

The important thing to remember about P-shot is that you must put in the work as well. This means that you’re going to be pumping the penis regularly (3-4 times a week), getting your testosterone, and having your P-shot from us. It is going to be like a gym routine where you eat healthy, rest, and put in the work. With continuous treatment you’ll notice an increase in your girth and eventually in the length as well. Remember, consistency is the key with P-shot.

What is Radial Shockwave Therapy?

Radial Shockwave Therapy, also known as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate micro-vascularization which causes increased blood flow and hence tissue regeneration and repair. The treatment involves using a handheld device that emits shockwaves to the affected area. These shockwaves stimulate the body’s natural healing process, increasing blood flow and promoting tissue regeneration. Radial Shockwave Therapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease.3–5

For RSWT, you need about 12-15 sessions for it to start giving an effect. This option is great for people who don’t want to have an injection in their penis and live close by our clinic.

How do they compare?

While both treatments can be effective in treating sexual dysfunction, they differ in their approach. The P-Shot is a targeted treatment that injects PRP into specific areas of the penis. This can help to improve blood flow and stimulate the growth of new tissue. Radial Shockwave Therapy, on the other hand, is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. This can help to increase blood flow and promote tissue regeneration.

In terms of effectiveness, both treatments have shown promising results. However, the P-Shot has been shown to have a more immediate effect, with patients reporting improved sexual function within a few weeks of treatment. Radial Shockwave Therapy, on the other hand, may take longer to show results, with patients typically seeing improvements after a few months of treatment. So, it bottles down to your personal preference.

Which one is right for you?

Choosing between the P-Shot and Radial Shockwave Therapy ultimately comes down to personal preference and the severity of your condition. If you are looking for a more immediate improvement in sexual function, the P-Shot may be the better option. However, if you are willing to wait a few months for results and prefer a non-invasive approach, Radial Shockwave Therapy may be the way to go. On top of that we are to help you.
