Are you suffering from daily pain that won’t go away? Does your joints or muscles keep hurting? Do you take pain meds every day to keep your mind off of pain? If you have chronic joint or muscle pain, Phoenix Men’s Health Center may have a lasting solution for you. Since last year, we have been offering prolotherapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy to our patients with joint or muscle pain with quite incredible results. Some of the most common problems are patients come to us with are: lower back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, and tight upper back muscles.

If you are not yet familiar with prolotherapy or Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), here is a link to the article where we discuss them in detail. In short, prolotherapy is injecting a solution that creates inflammation in and around the damaged tissues.1 Although inflammation is often seen as something bad, it’s actually the starting point of our body’s natural healing cycle. Given time, the human body wants to heal itself, and both prolotherapy and PRP helps kick off the healing cycle.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrated, spun down portion of the liquid part of your blood. PRP works because there are growth factors in the blood that stimulate healing and cell regeneration.2 When you are experiencing pain in your body, whether it’s joint, tendon, or muscle, there are damaged cells and tissues that need healing. While injecting or taking anti-inflammatories, like steroids or NSAIDS (i.e. Ibuprofen), may help numb the pain for a while, it doesn’t treat the source of the problem.

Compared to cortisone treatments or steroids injections, we believe prolotherapy and PRP is a better solution to your muscle or joint pain. Both cortisone and steroid will numb the pain, rid of inflammation (and the pain), and make you feel temporarily better. However, in the long run, neither are healing the damaged cells or the tissues.

At Phoenix Men’s Health Center, we believe in medicine that helps heal the source of the problem, not a temporary fix. That’s why we offer prolotherapy and PRP to our patients, who have seen amazing results. Even just with one treatment, they usually notice a difference within a week in terms of how much pain they’re experiencing.

For the next two weeks, we are offering our 15/15 special. A free 15-minute pain consultation with one of our doctors & 15% off your PRP or prolotherapy procedure if we choose to move forward. Don’t pass up on this limited-time chance if you are suffering from muscle or joint pain – you can call Phoenix Men’s Health Center at 602-908-5422 or make an appointment online through this link and select the 15/15 Special from the option.
